Description

Just as the Bauhaus placed culture and technology at the basis of the design reasoning, so too GT01, designed by Gio Tirotto, is structured through precise thematic layers.

First and foremost is a careful search for materials, such as aluminum and plywood in an oak finish, which are easily disassembled and therefore totally recyclable, as well as restorable over time.

The natural or painted sled frame, with square and clear but at the same time elegant shapes, frames simple and ergonomic multilayer panels, thanks to the curves that accommodate the seat. The style that inspires it is post-industrial, also highlighted by the absence of visible fixings and the presence of marked welds, which make GT01 minimal and extremely clean in form.

The rational approach of the design outlines a universal and versatile silhouette, making the seat suitable for living and office environments, whether private or public spaces, as confirmed by its strong stackability. The negligible weight, given by the use of aluminum for the structure, enhances its handling and facilitates transport, without affecting its stability.

In the GT01 everything that is functional is expertly mixed by subtraction, making it light, minimalist and sinuous, with the ambition of describing a “timeless” design.
