Arguably one of Ib Kofod-Larsen’s best-known designs, The Seal Lounge Chair is an elegant armchair typical of its time – and yet entirely timeless. The Lounge Chair is available in a low or high back version. The angled frame and armrests and leather upholstery put comfort at the fore, inviting lounging. And despite being made of heavy materials, it has a lightness to it; the shell appears to float inside the wooden frame. The corresponding Ottoman offers the same signature attention to detail, comfort and organic forms that have made Ib Kofod-Larsen a pioneer of mid-century modern design. Named after the Swedish ski resort, Sälen, The Seal is a fine example of Ib Kofod-Larsen’s organic design and focus on detail and comfort.
